Modelling and Simulation Methodologies (METH)

This track will bring researchers and professionals together in order to address and discuss recent developments on modelling and simulation methodologies and their applications.
Modelling and simulation (M&S) methodologies depend on the nature of the system studied, on the level of abstraction convenient to represent the problem stated on it, on the mathematical representation necessary to solve that problem, and on the kind of computer facilities and tools available to perform the simulation. Thus, this track calls for papers on theoretical and technical topics of M&S methodologies, and papers stressing their role in application fields, including the following:

    Topics:
Continuous, Discrete, Switched and Hybrid Systems
    Distributed Parameter Systems
Large Scale Systems, Order Reduction and Model Simplification
Numerical Methods, Formal Manipulation,Computer Algebra and Automatic Differentiation
Real-Time Simulation, Parallel and Distributed Simulation
M&S Languages and Standards, Software and Tools, User Interfaces
    Education

    Application Fields:
    Biomechanics and Prosthetics, Biomedical Engineering
    Biotechnologies
    Agro technology and Food Industry
Chemical Engineering, Process Control, Nuclear Engineering
    Computational Hydrology and Hydraulics
Computer Networks, Distributed Computer Control Systems
Electronics and Electrical and Power Systems
    Car Industry
    Mechanical Systems, Robotics and Mechatronics
Meteorology and Weather Forecasting, Environmental Sciences
    Speech and Image Processing
    Transportation Systems
