Motivation

One of the most promising application areas of simulation is socio-economic systems. This includes modeling of health-care systems, economic systems, transportation systems, educational systems, energy systems and urban planning. Simulation is also recognized as a cost effective way of testing proposed plans for ecology and environment such as air pollution, waste control, weather prediction, earthquake and storm analysis. In recent years, simulation has also become an important tool for scientific analysis of the problems arised in welfare systems, disease control, and biomedical studies. Papers describing original research results in the above topics are solicited.
