TRAVEL TO DRESDEN
AND CONFERENCE SITE



BY AIR
From Dresden-Airport there is a direct shuttle service to Dresden Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) either by bus and tram (Airport-City-Liner) or by urban railway (S-Bahn) S2. For international flight information see for example http://www.itn.net

BY RAIL
There are frequent train links from all directions, e.g. direct trains from Paris, Vienna, Warsaw. There are frequent train links from all directions, e.g. direct trains from Paris, Vienna, Warsaw. Dresden has two big train stations (Hauptbahnhof and Dresden-Neustadt). You will have to get off at Dresden-Hauptbahnhof as the conference location is situated right next to the station. BY CAR
If you are driving to Dresden by car the best way to go is on motorway A13 or A4 / E40.

GETTING AROUND IN DRESDEN

WALKING
The inner city of Dresden can be accessed easily on foot. Most sights and important hotels as well as the conference location, ESAG City Center, are within walking distance.

BY TRAM OR BUS
Dresden's public transportation system is maintained by the DVB AG (Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe AG). 12 tram-routes and 27 bus-routes cover all of the city and the suburbs. The service operates around the clock which allows you to get anywhere at anytime. Ticket prices range from Euro 0,90 for short one-way trips to Euro 13,00 for weekly tickets.

BY RAIL
Urban Railway (S-Bahn) connects Dresden with its more distant suburbs and surroundings. Neighbouring cities like Meißen, Pirna and Radebeul can be reached quickly as well as the airport Dresden Klotzsche which is about 15 km from city centre.

BY TAXI
Taxis can be found on most busy public places. They charge an initial fare of Euro 2,00 plus Euro 1,13 - 1,28 per kilometer of travel. The city's major cab providers include FunkTaxi Dresden (call 0351 - 211 211) and Taxi-Ruf Dresden (call 0351 - 811 911).
All of them conduct business 24 hours.

CONFERENCE FACILITIES

ESAG City Center

The ESAG City Center is located right behind the Dresden main train station (Dresden HBf); if you leave the station at the back side, you are standing in front of the conference center.

The conference rooms will have Overhead projectors installed as standard. 35mm slides projection and 1024x768 computer projection can be arranged if required by the presenters.

The participants will have an access to several PCs connected to the Internet throughout the duration of the conference.
