Information security proves to be a rapidly growing concern of many large organisations. Multimedia applications enable more useful employment of, and access to critical business information, such as financial data, but also R&D results and the like.As a result, not only multimedia itself, but also cryptographic protection of distributed data become truly "enabling technologies" for such applications to find widespread use.In this presentation, it will be explained and demon-strated how the user-friendly integration of standard cryptographic software tools into multimedia applications may adequately eradicate obstructive security risks to the use of multimedia.
