Abstract:

In this paper there is presented the basic design of the hybrid simulation system for traffic in urban areas. This system is based on a JUTS system used for analysis of the traffic in cities which is based on a microscopic model of traffic flow. This type of traffic representation is very detailed but for larger areas consumes too much computation time. For that reason a new hybrid model is introduced. This model represents specific areas in low level of detail. The problem is to choose a suitable less detailed model that can be combined with the actual one. In this paper there is presented the testing of the actual model and the construction of the less detailed model together with its connection into the actual system in order to construct the hybrid system.
