Abstract: |
This paper presents a simulation
model of a PCT40 heat exchanger. It starts with a motivation, followed by description
of the system and of the whole modelling process. The mathematical model
includes simplified description of heating and cooling systems together with a
more detailed description of a proportioning solenoid valve. It is formed
using combination of both analytical and empirical approaches and the
resultant simulation model is compared to real-time measurements in terms of
both static and dynamic properties. The overall results indicate that
although the model is relatively simple it can be used for control-oriented
simulation experiments, which was the purpose of this work and saves time
during experiments on this system. |
