Abstract: |
Existing studies on workflow simulation
focused mainly on simulating process definition models at build
time. Recently, a novel workflow simulation method called run-time
workflow simulation (RTWS) was proposed with which process instances at
run-time can be simulated. This paper presents a formal DEVS model of
the run-time workflow simulation module that can be embedded in an existing
business process management system (BPMS). The presented DEVS model has been
implemented and a test-bed BPMS for RTWS experiment was developed. |
